Mr. Arnold D. Cox, M. Ed, BCPC is Founder, President & Senior consultant and founder of ADC Prevention Services & Associates. Mr. Cox has over 40 years of experience working with disadvantaged students, school districts, as well as state, federal and local agencies. ADC Prevention Services and Associates under the direction of Mr. Cox has held the Center Mental Health consultant contract at Westover Jobs Corps center for over 15 years in addition to providing Mental Health consulting services to Joliet Job Corps Center in Joliet, Illinois.
Mr. Cox has also been practicing martial arts for over 20 years and is currently an instructor for ADC Afterschool and At-Risk Youth Basketball programs in the U.S. and Dominican Republic. Mr. Cox has managed to gain the professional respect and confidence of school administrators and human services providers both locally and nationally.
Mr. Cox has proven consultant experience as a special education school principal, psychological therapist, program coordinator, halfway house case manage, school counselor, Boston area Youth Outreach Tracker, Substance Abuse Prevention Specialist for the Department of Youth Services and Springfield Public Schools, Weed & Seed Coordinator for the Department of Justice, department of Youth Services program director, Upward Bound Program Director and staff development specialist in strategies and techniques for dealing with angry and out of control youth. Mr. Cox has designed and put in place program policies, procedures, and best practices that keep the social, emotional and behavioral health needs of at-risk youth in mind.
Mr. Cox has been featured on Boston’s TV Channel 5 ABC’s ‘Health Beat New England’ and in the Chelsea Record and has also been a featured guest several times on 93.7 in CT. Also an American Red Cross Hometown Heroes Award recipient and CNN/Heroes award 2010 Nominate.
